1. REQUEST
An individual submits an assistance request through the Ministry's designated application process.
2. DOCUMENT
The applicant provides documentation required by the applicable program.
3. REVIEW
The request is reviewed according to the applicable eligibility requirements.
4. DETERMINE
The Ministry determines whether the applicant qualifies for the particular program and whether resources are available.
5. ASSIST
If the applicant qualifies and resources are available, assistance may be provided according to the applicable program.
6. CONNECT
If the Ministry cannot provide the requested assistance, we may attempt to connect the individual with another available resource when appropriate.
DOCUMENTATION
Documentation requirements will depend on the assistance requested. Examples may include:
- Proof of residency
- Identification
- Income documentation
- Rental documentation
- Housing notices
- Utility or other essential bills
- Vehicle documentation
- Vehicle repair estimates
- Caregiving documentation
- Documentation relevant to a disability-related request
- Other documentation reasonably related to determining eligibility
